Integrity is everything
Vira was born out of necessity when we started making seam rings for our own piercing studio in 2018, back when wait times were...too long to wait for. Once we perfected them, we started making them for friends' studios too, and soon after that, we opened Vira up to everyone.
Kellan Smith brings 20 years of piercing experience to Vira, and he uses it to make the best quality rings possible. We like to call him particular, but that’s just code for picky. Actually, we’re all picky when it comes to the quality of our goods and integrity of our company. You want the best for your clients, you’re paying good money for this stuff—and we don't think it should take that long.
We're piercers, shop owners, and people who care. We make everything by hand in our studio in Vancouver, WA. We’re a micro business—just two of us on the Vira team. We’re keeping it small, but doing it with big heart.
In other words—we give a shit.
What matters to us
Things that are important to us, in no particular order:
1. Making the best rings ever, with integrity.
2. Having consistent, fast turnaround times.
3. Using the highest quality materials—solid 14k and 18k yellow gold, rose gold and palladium white gold, and yes, it’s recycled.*
4. Being compliant with the APP’s quality and safety standards.
5. Being rad humans, for ourselves and for all of you.
*B.S. alert: Highlighting that someone only uses recycled gold is a marketing tactic. All gold, if purchased from a major supplier in the U.S., is recycled (and that means ours is too).
